X WING FIGHTER

Here is the one of my favorite Ships. The XWING FIGHTER.

I was lucky enough to be asked to participate in the production of the MASTER REPLICAS Xwing. However, that company has since lost the license and sold everything to another company that should be making an announcement soon.

Here are the masters they were loaned and I was tasked to mold. The masters were the a set from the Shop that actually was responsible for the pyro shots in STAR WARS. The fuselage was originally damaged, and restored by the current owner. The wings, and the engine were THE actual masters used for the pyro models in STAR WARS, possibly also the rear detail plate.

I will post a few close up shots and a couple of comparison shots of some well known kits. I am limited as to what I can post due to the new company that is still working on producing a licensed replicas of this amazing spaceship.

Castings I made for Master Replicas that were to be used as the Paint Masters for the XWING. Lee Malone was responsible for painting the two sets. I made a third set out of 1630 to minimize shrinkage for the HONG KONG Reference. The Xwing was actually built in a computer, corrected for shrinkage and inaccuracies, then grown in the SLA process.
