Here is a shot of two staff guns. The far one looks smaller and it but only by an inch. The way the shot was taken it looks like more.   The top gun is a fiberglass casting from a mold of an original. The gun below is one of two working ones from the motion picture.   When pressurized and triggered, the front opens very quickly.   The top has a "real" jewel, and lighter paint scheme.

 

Here is a picture of yours trule holding the working gun from the movie. Notice its in the FIRING position.
